If you have read my article on Spirit Guide paintings you will already be aware that it is my belief that each of us has a Guardian Angel watching over us from the time of our birth.
What you may not realise however, is that we each have a Faerie Guardian that is with us throughout our lifetime. Much like Guardian Angels, our Faerie consort, or Earth Angel also watches over us, guides us and helps us. Other faeries may also come into our lives, offering us guidance and support at times of need, these faeries however will leave once they feel their task is complete. So, at any given time in your life, you may have one or more faeries watching over you, caring for you, and supporting you.
All over Mother Earth tales of faerie folk abound. Our faerie kin come in a myriad of shapes and sizes, tall, tiny, winged, wingless, slim, stout, red, irridescent white, even green in hue, or camouflaged to blend into their environment. They can live on land, in rivers, rock pools, oceans, in the air, in trees, in fire, in cold or warm climates, indeed in countless places on Mother Earth. They watch over not only us, but are also guardians of Mother Nature, protecting and healing the land and all that lives and grows on it. Much like humans, there are different tribes of faeries, Elves, Pixies, Gnomes, Sylphs, Mermaids, Dryads, Undines, Goblins and countless others to numerous to list here. But they are all around us, if we are willing to open our eyes and hearts and truely 'see'.
Since my earliest childhood I have believed that faeries are real, I have seen them, felt their presence, heard their chatter and laughter, experienced their playful pranks, and shared in their wonder and joy of all that is beautiful, natural, and all that grows on Mother Earth. My Celtic heritage is rich in faerie folklore, and our belief in faerie folk is strong. Even in these modern times of hustle and bustle, and everything done at 'high speed', roads are built around faerie rings and mounds, no person, male or female, young or old is ever laughed at should they talk of faeries or their belief in them.
So it will come as no surprise when I say that I have always painted faeries, because I have always been aware of faeries, seen them, and felt their presence. If you would like to have a painting done of your faerie guardian please contact me via email.
Each painting is unique, and depicts a full length image of your faerie guardian in a combination of watercolours, acrylics and gouache, often with some glitter to add that special 'faerie sparkle and magic'. The painting is approx A3 in size. You will be provided with an explanatory text [sent to you via email] which details the name of your faerie guardian, and all other relevant information about your portrait.
Your painting will be sent to you via post and is well packaged. The fee for a commissioned faerie portrait is £35 which includes p&p within the United Kingdom. Would those of you outside the U.K. please contact me via email and state the destination you wish to have your painting dispatched too, and I will ascertain any additional cost involved in sending your portrait to you.
If the painting is a gift for a loved one or friend, for an additional charge of £2.50 [to cover costs] you may have the painting gift wrapped, with a greetings card detailing who the gift is from.
Due to recent changes in consumer legislation within the U.K. I am required by law to ask you to read our disclaimer prior to ordering your faerie portrait. The commissioning of a faerie portrait will assume that you have read the relevant text and agree to abide by the terms and conditions therein. Thank you for taking the time to do this, it is both for your protection and my own, and as I said, I am required to ask you to do so by law.
I look forward to hearing from you and remember 'a day without faeries is a day without sunshine'
Bright blessings
Vanya, the Faerie Lady
