It is my belief that from the day we are born, we each have with us a Spirit Guide. Other guides may come and go, depending on our circumstances at any given time. Our guides, for we may have more than one at a time, help us on our journey through life.
There are different types of Guides, Guardian Angels [I believe we all have a Guardian Angel that watches over us from the moment of our birth], relatives who have passed into Spirit, Animals, Faeries and Faerie kin, and energies from other dimensions in time and space, and so the list goes on... Nevertheless, our Guides are our helpers, they never 'judge us', they endevour to 'guide' us in the right direction as we travel our life path.
Background History
Since earliest childhood I have been able to see, sense, hear and feel spirit. I was regarded as having a somewhat 'vivid imagination', and my grandfather, and mother's creative genes. I drew and painted at every available opportunity from a very early age.
In my mind I could travel to far off realms and different dimensions, I could see Faeries, Dryads, Spirits and Angels, I could hear their voices, smell exquisite fragrances, feel anguish and joy, and see colours so vivid and beautiful, and yet not quite like anything on this Earth. All this was 'normal' to me, but I was to discover it was 'not normal to anybody else'.
Over time you learn to keep quiet, you learn what it is acceptable, or is regarded as 'weird', and therefore you begin to learn that you should not talk about it. So, I kept drawing, kept painting, but I no longer explained exactly what it was that I was sometimes painting - the world of Spirit.
Years later, through the encouragement of people on the mind, body, spirit circuit, people I came to know and trust were to nudge me back into being 'open' about what I could see. They inspired me to return to painting the world of Spirit. But this time, I could express what is channelled through me without the fear of being ridiculed, and more importantly, I could convey it to people with similar beliefs to my own. People who perhaps believe as I do, that we are surrounded by Spirits, and that we have all lived many lifetimes.
Many people have asked me how I can 'see' Spirit? To be honest that is a very hard question to answer. I have not been trained to do so. I have always seen Spirits. Admittedly, training such as Reiki and other courses have helped me to 'hone' my skills. They have helped me to focus, and I am now more able to 'attune' myself and become receptive as and when the need requires. Before, I simply saw, felt, heard, and sensed - 'whatever', as and when it happened. Now, I can choose when to put myself in the 'zone' so to speak.
My Spirit Guide Paintings
Unlike many other painters of Spirit Guides, I choose to paint in acrylics, watercolours and gouache, often adding sparkle and glitter to embelish the work. These paints all involve the element of water, and that is something that greatly appeals to me. Water has such a healing vibration, and I feel it adds something to the painting. I also put Crystals in the water as I feel this adds additional positive energies to the work.
Unlike many artists, I have chosen to paint 'entire figures' rather than simply the head of your guide, or guides. This is simply because that is what is shown to me, so it makes sense that I should paint it that way. It takes more time, but it is I feel important to show exactly what is being channelled through me. Often a myriad of other details will be in evidence within the painting. All these are explained in the text that you will receive via email. Your painting however will be sent via recorded delivery in a Jiffy envelope, and is well wrapped and protected on a cardboard mount.
Each painting is entirely unique, and is smudged and blessed throughout the creative process. You will be given the name, or sometimes 'names' of your guides, which will be written on your signed painting.
How Much Does It Cost ?
Each painting costs £30 which includes your explanatory email text, and p&p of your painting which will be sent to the address you are asked to provide. The paintings are on heavily textured and specialist paper which is designed for use with acrylics, watercolours and gouache.
If the painting is a gift for a loved one, you may for an additional charge of £2.50 have the painting gift-wrapped and accompanied by a card stating who commissioned the painting as a gift [please state any special occassion such as birthday, wedding etc, which may be relevant]. In size the paintings are roughly A3 in dimension, and come ready for you to mount in your own chosen frame.
How Do I Order My Spirit Guide Painting ?
You can order your Spirit Guide painting via commission. I will need
certain details from you. This information will help me to connect with
your Guides. You may if you wish commission a painting as a gift for
someone else, but again, I will need certain information. You will need
to tell me your name [or the details of the person for whom the painting
is intended], date of birth, address, and also I would ask that you
write something about yourself [or again, the person for whom the painting
is intended]. I would if at all possible prefer that these details be
'handwritten'. Why? This helps me to connect with the energies more
easily. Things I need to know. The colours that you like, and any colours
you may dislike, hobbies, interests, and just anything really that you
would like to share. It doesn't have to be an overly long description,
but just something that gives me an idea about who it is that I am doing
the painting for. All this information will help me to connect with
your Guides and remains confidential.
